Fuchs, Potkonen and Gustafsson could be the stars of the upcoming Boxam Women’s Tournament

The Boxam Women’s Tournament will be starting with its first competition day in Castellon de la Plana this Friday which is the highlight of this week besides to the Romanian Golden Belt Tournament. Several stars of women’s boxing such as United States’ Virginia Fuchs, Finland’s EUBC European Women’s Champions duo Mira Potkonen and Elina Gustafsson also will be attending in the Boxam Women’s Tournament.

The Boxam Women’s Tournament will be a strong female elite, youth and junior competition which is scheduled to take place in a new venue in Castellon de la Plana which is located in the Valencia region of Spain. Women boxing powers as United States of America, France, Australia, Finland, Germany, Italy, Wales, Puerto Rico, Hungary and host Spain all will be there in the start of the Boxam Women’s Tournament.

The energetic President of the Spanish Boxing Federation Mr. Felipe Martinez divided their traditional international competition into two parts this year. The first was held for the elite, youth and junior male boxers in Murcia in the month of May while the second Boxam Tournament for the female athletes are schedule in Castellon de la Plana this week.

The powerful US women delegation arrived to the venue before its start to acclimatize and the Australians are also trained in the recent days in Spain. Among the stars of women boxing United States’ Virginia Fuchs, Australia’s Skye Nicolson, Italy’s Irma Testa, Germany’s Nadine Apetz, and Finland’s EUBC European Women’s Champions duo Mira Potkonen and Elina Gustafsson could be the bests in the event.

The upcoming Boxam Women’s Tournament will be starting with its first competition day this Friday on September 28 and more than 100 female boxers are expected to take part in Castellon de le Plana.
